The following is a guest post by Jean Thomson. She has included a list of schools using the program. Additional comments have been added by the editor at the end of the post.
Last month, State Superintendent Hofmeister (who referred to the recent Governor-requested, first ever audit of the OSDE as "yet another attack on public education") happily announced she had gifted Teach For America over four million dollars to fill empty teaching positions. What she NEGLECTED to say however, was major.

Masking For Money: How Oklahoma Public Schools Want To Subvert State And Local Authority For Federal Funds
Friday, August 27 (2021), I was sent a screen shot of a document from the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) that included masking 'guidance' which contradicted Oklahoma's SB658 (the bill to allow freedom of choice regarding student masking in all Oklahoma schools but private k-12) and was told that the OSDH had issued new/current (8/21) masking/quarantine guidelines to schools.
What in the world is going on at the Oklahoma State Department of Education - again?
July 12th, the Oklahoma State School Board voted to accept the rules written to uphold HB1775, the bill that prohibits the teaching of divisive subjects often linked to Critical Theory, or Critical Race Training.
Today, there are numerous state school laws being violated by public schools. For example, for years schools have been using Common Core in classrooms though it was repealed from law and supposedly removed from Oklahoma State teaching standards in 2014/2015. Now it's the teaching of racism through Critical Theory, made illegal by HB1775 during the 2021 legislative session - as well as schools forcing students to wear masks though prohibited by SB658, also passed on behalf of parents this year.
Because the Communists know that destruction of the family leads to destruction of society.
This book is a must-read for EVERY liberty-minded American concerned about why the world around them appears to be falling apart before their eyes. There are reasons for the tyranny we're experiencing and once we know the cause of the disease, we can fight the disease.
Yesterday (8/12/21), the Oklahoma State Medical Association (OSMA) filed a lawsuit in Oklahoma County District Court naming the State of Oklahoma and Governor Stitt as their plaintiffs in an attempt to overturn SB658 - the bill prohibiting mask mandates - passed last session.

Lack Of Willingness To Accept The Ideals Of Parental Self-Governance Is Eroding Public Trust In Medical Professionals
Though a rhetorical device, it's clear this editorial was used as a way to blunt the scalpel the writer plunges into the heart of a large portion of Oklahoma's population by way of his thesis - that unvaccinated individuals are not only responsible for continued spread of the disease, but for propagation of disease variants as well.
Larry White, Executive Director Of The Oklahoma Metropolitan Library Commission Responds To Taxpayer Criticism Of Pride Month
Dr. Larry White, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Library System, responded to my recent criticism of the MLS' celebration of Pride Month sent via contact form at the MLS website, with a very long and what appeared to be 'canned' response.
I say 'canned' response because a friend who also sent an email via the contact form, received virtually the same email as I, though with a twist. Attached to her email was the following photograph:I copied and pasted the email in its entirety below. Under each paragraph I have responded in red. I felt this important because I thought it might help people understand why using tax-supported programs to advance agendas like BLM, or LGBTQ is wrong.
What Are Parents To Do To Stop Schools From Violating Student's Rights According to Anti-Critical Race Theory Bill HB1775?
Truly, what have we come to when Oklahoma educators are angry because a bill including the above prohibitions was passed during the 2021 Legislative Session?

PLEASE HELP! SB131 Needs A Hearing NOW In The Senate Or Our Healthcare Could Be Based On Critical Race Theory!
This year, Senator Nathan Dahm has authored a bill - SB503 - to mandate that public schools in Oklahoma teach the following:
a. the content of the United States naturalization test, with an emphasis on the specific content of the test and the ideas and concepts it references. The United States naturalization test shall be made available in physical and electronic online formats as an optional assessment tool for teachers,
b. the Declaration of Independence,
c. the United States Constitution including the Bill of Rights,
d. substantive selections from the Federalist Papers,
e. the Emancipation Proclamation,
f. the Articles of Confederation,
g. the Gettysburg Address, and
h. George Washington’s Farewell Address
Let's start with the first:
Critical Race Theory is an ideal developed from Marxist theory that essentially asks human beings to see the world through a lens that sees people as either oppressed or oppressors based on their race and identity. This gets even more complicated when attempting to determine how oppressed one is - a factor determined by something called intersectionality. For example, if we are comparing three individuals - a black woman, a white man and a gay, black woman - the gay black woman is the most oppressed and the white man is the most oppressive.
