Dr. Everett Piper Joins the Board of Reclaim Oklahoma Parent Empowerment (ROPE2.0)
For over a decade, ROPE (Restore Oklahoma Public Education)
has been one of the only organizations in Oklahoma dedicated to educating taxpayers
and parents about the policies, practices, data collection and curricula used inside
K-12 public schools. In 2015, ROPE shifted their focus and became Reclaim
Oklahoma Parent Empowerment (ROPE2.0). This year, ROPE2.0 has become a PAC, to engage
in school board races and other important issues affecting the education of
Oklahoma children.
Today, ROPE2.0 is very happy to announce the addition of Dr.
Everett Piper to their board.
Dr. Everett Piper served as president of Oklahoma Wesleyan
University for seventeen years during which time he wrote “This is Not a Day
Care. It’s a University!”, the viral op-ed that led to his national bestseller,
“Not a Daycare: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth”. Today he writes
a column for the Washington Times, his own daily podcast, “The Rebellion”, and is
a featured speaker across dozens of venues, when not being interviewed by Fox
News, Dave Rubin, Bill O’Reilly, or a host of other media personalities
regarding education, culture and politics.
About his addition to the Board of Reclaim Oklahoma Parent
Empowerment, Dr. Piper said, “The more I’ve engaged with the debate over
education, the more I am convinced that parental empowerment is the only
solution. We must demand school choice or we will lose our kids, our culture
and our country.”
