A non-profit organization named "Generation Citizen" is entering schools K-12 and universities. Generation Citizen offers training and support to bring civics to the classroom.
To the casual observer it appears to be non-partisan but this could not be further from the truth. It smuggles into the classroom, propaganda and training for progressive activism.
Generation Citizen is a component of a larger movement to turn American education into training for social activism, called "action civics".
Time is spent out of classrooms and students get credits for outside activities. Young students learn how to be organized by older students and older students learn how to organize the younger. This is called ”service learning” or “civic engagement”. They groom students, training them in action civics using the radical Saul Alinsky's technique of “power mapping” to teach them how to bring about revolutionary changes.
Generation Citizen educates students toward progressive political beliefs. It brainwashes students into believing progressive propaganda by overwhelmingly supporting concepts like rent subsidies, gun control and restorative justice rather than school discipline or prison laws. It also teaches that voter integrity equals voter suppression.
The entire framework of Generation Citizen works against self reliance and favors policies to increase government power to act on behalf of ALL adults. It's used in K-12 classrooms all the way through the University level.
We must have factual requirements for civics and history. Our children are our most precious resource. We must not allow them to be taught progressive activism. As parents, we must see that they are taught factual civics and history rather than propaganda.
Generation Citizen must be removed from all schools in all states as quickly as possible. What kindergartner needs to be taught 'action civics'? Generation Citizen is nothing more than a Trojan horse teaching children to follow and obey the government, while becoming activists in favor of liberal socialist ideas.

I'm going to stick in some screenshots here in order to make several points. All screenshots come from the Generation Citizen website.
Please note: there is absolutely no civics education done here. Students are taught how to build consensus (a Marxist term) around an issue and then lobby for that issue. Throughout the entire website, America is referred to as a "Democracy". Again, a thought process brought to us by Marxism.
Generation citizen has TWO GOALS: change the culture and change the system creating the culture. They are open about their desire to MANDATE the use of 'action civics', something President Biden was also open about mandating from the Federal level. The sad part is that these goals can only be met by propagandizing and training students with Marxist tools.
Under their "Success Stories" tab, you can find Mr. Castenda - a student in the Greater Boston area schools - who, thanks to Generation Citizen training, has become a "Change Agent".
This is an OKLAHOMA TEACHER. She essentially says publicly that the Constitution was not meant for her students because it's an outgrowth of systemic racism. Without any other possible view described, how is this NOT propaganda?

We MUST let our legislators know that "Action Civics" is based on Marxist techniques which will indoctrinate students rather than educate them about the way the American system of government works. Please contact your legislator (you can find them here) before session starts next February and let them know that we must NOT allow Action Civics in any form in our Oklahoma classrooms.
