It is a purposeful indoctrination of our children. The majority of our teachers hate it, even the liberal ones because it puts them in the position of being tested themselves. If their kids don't do well then they don't do well, monetarily. The union HATES that. The rest of us hate the curriculum because it us full of crap. Lessons intending to learn whether families are conservative or liberal, whether they own guns, teaching homosexuality is not only ok but preferred (one class had middle school girls KISSING each other), and on and on the list goes. B...Here in the UK, we are making a similar mistake. But there is general feeling that the incompetence of government is to blame. I disagree. I think that this is what a certain type of competence looks like. Western governments do not want educated children, who might go on to question governance in general, and even to make sensible fiscal and consumer choices. I have no kids but, if I did, I would fight to teach them at home rather than drink from the poisoned well of state-run education.Mark Gullicknoreply@blogger.com
